A daily question worth thinking about

TR Soft is an independent mobile game studio in London. We make quiz and memory games for Android that ask a few good questions each day instead of hundreds of forgettable ones.

A round takes a few minutes. The aim is that a player finishes it having learnt one thing they did not know that morning. A streak counter exists, but missing a day never resets years of progress; it simply starts a new run. We would rather players return because they are curious than because they are afraid of losing something.

  1. Questions are researched

    Every question in a TR Soft game is written from a named source and checked by a second person before it goes into the pool. Answers that have changed over time are rewritten or retired.

  2. Memory over speed

    Our rounds reward recall and reasoning more than reaction time. Players can take a moment to think, and the scoring does not punish a careful answer.

  3. Explanations after every answer

    Right or wrong, each answer is followed by a short note explaining it. Many players tell us that the note is the part they remember.

  4. Fresh sets, small packs

    New question packs arrive in modest batches so that the pool stays reviewed. A smaller set of reliable questions beats a huge list nobody has checked.

  5. Accessible by default

    Large type, high contrast and full screen-reader labels are switched on from the first build rather than added later.
